I used to be a probation officer and worked in court every day. Most judges seem to be pretty kind and understanding. (except for some of the ones in the criminal courts where the people committed some awful crimes). I hope and pray you will have a nice judge. I can see why you'd be nervous, but most people who work in court for what you're going for are very nice and friendly.
