Autism
I am not sure how your state is but in ours you can be turned down admissions to hospitals base on your disability. This has happen to our daughter twice in three months. Both times she had to be in hospital er waiting for someone to be able to take her.It took about three days each time. Autism is on the rise and it is about time that something is done to prevent this. I have contacted my elected officials. There really is not much help out there for people with autism over the age of 17. In order to even apply for services Elisa had to be given the MR label. Even with that she is on a waiting list of over 10.000 people in our state and she is n the bottom and is on the critical list. How is it in your state? The insurance company here is also the one who decides if she can be put in the hospital or not. We ran into that this time. The doctor said yes but the insurance company said no but overturned themselves a few hours earlier.
Elisa will be coming home today--no better off than when she went in.

PRAYING FOR ((ELISA)). I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, MY FRIEND. OUR STATE, AND I BELIEVE ALL STATES, NOW HAVE A NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND. SADLY AND UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY GOOD ABOUT THAT PROGRAM. MY SON, WHO IS IN THE ARMY, HAS ADHD AND THEY JUST PASSED HIM ALONG IN SCHOOL, NOT WANTING TO DEAL WITH THE REAL ISSUE. THAT'S OKAY THOUGH BECAUSE HE'S NOW SHOWING THEM THAT WITH GRADUATING FROM THE ARMY, HE IS A SUCCESS STORY. SOMETHING GOOD DID COME OF IT, BUT AS FAR AS THE SCHOOL POLICY/SYSTEM, I HAVE ZERO RESPECT. AS MY MOTHER SAYS, THE ONLY TWO IN THIS WORLD YOU CAN TRULY COUNT ON IS GOD AND YOURSELF!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK, MY FRIEND. AM CONTINUING TO LIFT UP ELISA IN PRAYER.
LOVE, CHERYL
Sorry you are having such trouble with the insurance, hope things get better.
RYC: about the ladies brunch----if it's only 8 ladies you could make a french toast casserole and serve with fresh fruit and coffee/juice. or you could do muffins, fruit, and an egg/sausage/hash brown casserole with coffee/juice.
Here's a link to a fun site with a bunch of ideas for a brunch:

Hope this helps. Blessings!
I didn't know they could turn down anyone.. especially someone
with such a great need!
