  • Good Morning

Today Elisa goes to see her doctor. We are going to tell him she needs to come off some of her medications. She had a bad weekend with either side effects or her getting toxic to the medication.

  • Have you ever notice???

April is autism awareness month and at the beginning you hear so much about it. Everyone wants to get on the band wagon, Sadly that does not last the whole month. This happens to a lot of issues but this one is near and dear to my heart. Erin comes home for the night. She has not seen Elisa since she was in the hospital. She wants to spend some time with her.

  • GOOD MORNING

Well I am not able to sleep so I am on here to update. We had some rain yesterday and it is a little  cooler but the weather is turning nicer. Elisa is struggling to get out of bed. She stays in her room most of the day now. Erin got her an apartment on campus so she will be officially moving out in June. We have mix emotions on this--but we are proud of all she has accomplish. She loves the special ed part of her major. She has added Psychology as a minor so she has two majors and a minor now,it will take her a little longer but she knows it will be worth it in the long run.

    Everyone have a good day,

  • Sorry I have not posted for awhile. Elisa takes a lot of my time and the rest is spent with Mike.

I am really upset that most things about Autism stops at age 18. The disability does not go away at that age.Sometimes it gets worse for some of us and we really need the help. I got an e-mail from  an autism site but I could not be part of it because Elisa had to be under 18. Sorry but I am angry about this.

  • Autism

I know that people in my church has gotten an education in autism as they are helping us. I think that is good with autism on the rise there is going to be more and more families dealing with this issue. Autism has been our lives these last 19 years. We live it everyday. I have come to hate it. Seeing what this does to families is terrible. Seeking help only to get turned down. We were told doctors do not really want to help but there will not be a good outcome she will always be this way. NO SUCCESS STORY. She still is a person and deserve all the help.

  • Advice

    Dear Friends,

I need some advice. Most people have really helpful to us but there are a few who gets upset if we do not take their advice that we have not ask for. They keep pushing me to do things I am not comfortable with or things I am not ready to do or things I have a strong conviction about. They are christians. I just found out one person went to another person about me. I am just beginning to take a wall down that I have built to prevent myself from being hurt but I am beginning to wish I had not let people in. Right now I can not take this.

Elisa is home. Yesterday was really hard.

Thanks and have a good day,

    Trina
